Charges to top up my personal paypal account by credit card

Hi,

Please could anyone tell me ...

(a) do paypal make a charge for me to put funds into my account using a credit card?

(b) will this be treated by the credit card company as a cash advance or a transaction?

a. You can't 'add funds' to your paypal balance via a card in the UK, only via a linked bank account.

BUT you can buy items and if you have that card linked then paypal will take directly from that card your payment.

Buyers don't pay fees.

b. You would need to ask your card issuer as they vary.
