Why was my account limited

My account was limited. Called support and they were useless. I can't get money out and most importantly I can't delete my account...

Note, I don't want to delete my account just to make a new one, I'm never using this crap again. Plainly stealing my money

If you have been told your Paypal account has been permanently limited then Paypal tends to hold any funds for 180 days. This is the same time frame that buyers have to open Paypal disputes. You can't close or delete a permanently limited account. Paypal stops you doing this so you can't remove anything from it to try and use on another account.

If no disputes are opened in 180 days then normally you are allowed to withdraw the funds. That is as long as you are over 18, account is in your legal name and the account is registered in the country where you reside.

Sometimes they confiscate funds under this policy.

Paypal also may request further documentation from you before you can withdraw those funds.

You can rarely appeal a permanent ban but if you want to try an appeal then contact customer services.

They 'may' pass it to the back office but the chances of the appeal being successful are slim. Paypal state that the decision is not made lightly and once made is usually final.
