Hi all. I received a notification from PayPal that someone sent me an invoice to make a payment of USD 500 for purchasing a anti virus software which I didn't make. Could I just leave it like that with out paying or how do I cancel or report this?
I received an invoice for an iphone i did not purchase with a "$29.00" pending charge. I know its fake, i tried canceling it, but i get "soemthing went wrong" and cant do anything with it. Paypal doesnt let you report this either. what do i need to do? Should I contact my bank just in case? the invoice is way overdue by now.
Ignore it. Invoices are simply a request for money. You’re not charged if you don’t pay it. Just bad actors pranking around. Wouldn’t be surprised if what caused that error message is because the account that sent it is closed.
I find the advice to 'Ignore it' unsatisfactory. Yes, that is simple enough, but I don't want to leave a bogus, fraudulent invoice left lying around on my Activity page that might by some even-remote-mischance be accidentally triggered somehow, and sitting there indefinitely. Is there any action that can be taken to REMOVE the fraudulent pending invoice?
I got TWO fraudulent invoices this morning, and I also don't like this thing pending in my feed. I want to cancel it and say LEAVE ME ALONE! How do I do it?
I have the same issue and @paypal is not helping me. They sent documentation on how to archive an invoice I created. Which is not helpful or relevant. I can't even report a problem in the resolution center.
I absolutely agree with you. I received a fraudulent invoice today for $650! Also by law if someone sends you 3 invoices and you don’t rebut them they can take it to court and put a lien on you. I need this cancelled and it’s billed to a totally different email so I cannot cancel it. So just ignoring it is dangerous.
I have received a pending invoice from a company I've never heard of....obviously a scam but cannot use the resolution center to report it - it does not show up under the transactions. Has anyone else had this happen?
Yes i just got a legit email from paypal i didnt click anything. i logged into my account and was able to see this invoice for $479 fom ra Juri Aroy. I tried to click it but it wouldnt load. developer console in browser states permissiong denied.
Also tried to submit fraud and it doesnt list the transaction to be filed as fraud. I think the paypal system is flagging these.
