Paypal guided me in a wrong way

We use Paypal for many year and since last year the level of service went very down. I opened a case of a product that i received that was not like was announced, Paypal advised me to send the product back and after I did, Paypal closed the case in favour of the seller! what to do?

You didn’t say whether you returned with tracking and whether the tracking infostatus say “Delivered”.

 

You do need proof of delivery to get a refund.
