Does anyone know who Actitech are and why they took unauthorised money from my Paypal? Is it possibly a yoga/fitness app I purchased for half the amount (to trial it)and now they are just taking money automatically?!

I cannot contact PayPal re the above because everytime I do the site crashes on me!!
I did find the umbrella company still active in my PayPal account so thanks to whoever it was that mentioned that I've now cancelled so at least they can't take any more . I find it shocking the amount of posts re these fraudsters. They even tried to tell me with a screenshot that had none of my personal details on itn, that I paid and didn't cancel after the notice period.
Thing is if I ever d/l an app with a 7 or 30 day trial period I auto cancel after signing up and made it habit years ago -stopped me from ever forgetting! Just as soon as the app would be downloaded I'd go back into Google play and cancel it so that I still had the app for the allocated free trial but I had already auto cancelling instead so it would never renew when trial time was up.
Can anyone help . Can I get my money back ?

Hello @JD1980J,
Welcome to our community forum and thank you for you post!
I certainly understand how concerning this can be for you. Since you already cancelled the subscription, no further payments will be taken from your account. If you see any debit after the cancelation of the subscription, you can report the payment in the resolution center of your PayPal account. You can find more details about reporting the transactions here : How do I report a billing issue
I hope this information helps!

Check if you had a subscription set up.
Click on the profile tab (icon next to log out) > Click on payments third option along on the thick blue band top of page > "manage pre-approved payments.''

Kudos / Solution appreciated.

Do a search on this forum and google as this company changes names a lot.
Think it used to be fitcoach and provided an app?

Hello @ANTIFRAUD1,
Welcome to PayPal Community Forum and thank you for posing! Thanks @kernowlass.
I am sorry to know about the unauthorized charges from ACTITECH LTD. Some transactions may appear unfamiliar but are legitimate and authorized. I would recommend you check your pre-approved billing agreement payments. This charge could be from a service you signed up for in the past. If the transaction has already been completed you can request a refund on the transaction. To check and cancel your pre-approved billing agreements and to report the charges, I would recommend you to check this help center article.
I hope this helps,
Ayesha

This is ridiculous, if PayPal can't protect it's users, I'll just not use PayPal, I can't afford it!!! Actitech has taken 3 different size payments from me and I've never heard of them!!

A lot of times what happens is people accept a free trial for a product, and forget to cancel and it auto renews. Be careful what you are accepting as Paypal can't protect you from everything.
They provide some buyer and some seller protection, we have to read up on it and risk assess our own transactions.
