For months now I've been able to make deposits and withdrawls from online gambling sites here in Michigan. Recently I started receiving the following message. To comply with International regulations this transaction has been declined. Anybody else getting this message?

I use PayPal all the time to fund my online gambling and to collect winnings. After lots of trial and error it basically comes down to whether you have an actual bank linked in your wallet or not. If you do not, then you'll not be able to do anything with an online casino and will get the international regulations message. Just link a bank account and change preferred payment method to balance or bank account. Using the card as a preferred does not work on most casinos. Good luck.

May risk your account being banned if you don't check with paypal first.

Ok first I apologize, I thought that it was already established that you must be in an area that gambling is legal and that's where you are using PayPal to do so. That said, if you meet those requirements, then you can follow the advice of my previous post if you are having issues making a deposit legally using PayPal on your gambling sites. I reside in WV which it is legal, same as MI. Thanks and again good luck.

If you read the acceptable use policy that I posted you will see under the section of pre-approvals that you have to get permission from paypal first before using your account for gambling reasons.

I have seen lots on here get permanent limitations for using their paypal account for gambling even when gambling was offered on the site and legal in their state / country because they did not ask Paypal first.

FYI.....I contacted PayPal to be proactive when it came to online sports betting a few months back since I'm involved in a program where you can never lose a bet.  They said there were zero issues AND the user agreement everyone is posting here has ZERO to do with what is happening.  They told me the user agreement where it says you need pre-approval is strictly for MERCHANTS and not us gamblers, they assured what I was doing was fine and not against any terms 🙂

I too get that same international regulations message.  I've had my bank account in Arizona, where I reside, connected for many years and it's my preferred method and still get that message about international regulations (my account is verified and all my information is correct and updated.   PayPal told me they don't even see any of these transactions even being attempted and declined so in my mind it has to be the software the sports books are using (my issue is with Betway currently, trying to get my money since SKRILL sucks and I won't use them....they try and say they are a PayPal alternative.....they are not, they want to charge you fees if you won't put their app on your phone).

Anyway, that's my story and I see no resolution in this thread.....super frustrating.

My bank card is not linked , and I am able to use Paypal at the casinos that are authorized to accept Paypal. Paypal has never given an explanation for what they did in regards to the international regulations.

How exactly did you solve this problem.  I am having the same type of error.  Are you using a different payment method?  Is it because Paypal will no longer accept the casino?

I'm having same problem and i have real bank associated with PayPal. Also, I would fund my card and then use that to load money to casino and now they wont let me... what heck is going on?
