Charged for products that i didnt sign up to - medstore (raising dog - printed book and app)

Hi all, i purchased a book and use of an app from a company called raising dog (aka Medstore) 3 months later charged me $80.00 (AUD) for 3 months use of an app, that i havent used, and didnt agree to. They did not advise prior that they would be debiting my account, and i dont have any documentation to say that they will be doing this. When i contacted the company, they wont refund my money. When i searched on the internet, this company has been doing this for a long time, and wont refund anyones money. They are an american company, and im not able to persuse, other than through Paypal.  have any other paypal users had issues with this company, and paypal refund?

Check if you had a subscription set up and cancel it?
Click on the profile tab (icon next to log out) > Click on payments third option along on the thick blue band top of page > "manage pre-approved payments.''

 

Then make sure that you cancel it with the merchant as well so they don't set it up again after you cancelled it.

I had a similar issue. The app is Woofz to train your dog. There was a special offer for 19.99 usd for 3 months. So I signed up for that and that only. At month 4 they debited my account with 59.99 for a full months charge. It’s through PayPal so I had no warning that I was subscribed like you do with apps on Apple Store. When I asked for refund the company called Gismart refused . They said I subscribed which I didn’t . Then I took it up with PayPal and they totally got the wrong end of the story and said I was charged the wrong amount of 30.00 usd instead of 19.99 and didn’t understand that the second amount was totally unauthorised and declined the appeal for refund. So not sure what to do. Total thrives and liars 🤬

I had the EXACT same thing happen to me and their customer service is disgustingly bad it’s basically tough **bleep** and very sarcastic responses. They also said good luck escalating and then said they will not be responding to any other messages when i asked twice for them to confirm they have cancelled and deleted all my personal details including payment. Rude scammers
