Can funds be pulled by a vendor from my checking account without me knowing

I signed up for a free membership with solutioninn and ordered a free book and now when i try to cancel my membership, they are going to charge me for the "free" book. If I initially completed the transaction for the membership with paypal, can they pull funds directly from my linked checking account? I've already taken the step to cancel their recurring monthly subscription. Also upon further research, this is a shady company with an F rating on the Better Business Bureau and I would like to ensure they can't do anything shady after returning the book.

Hello @glorybas

Welcome back to the PayPal Help Community and thanks for posting here!

I understand your concern about the payments for subscription. Generally, any subscriptions with free trial associated with an auto renewal. A billing agreement/subscription authorizes a seller to take payment from a customer's PayPal account when they make a purchase from the merchant’s website. When the auto renewal happens, you will updated the details of the payment via email. You can stop the auto renewal by cancelling the subscription with the merchant. Here's the article with the steps to cancel the subscription set up with the merchant in your account.

Hope this information helps you,

Bindu
