I received an email few days ago (Thursday 13 July) to confirm my identity. I did not notice the email until today (Sunday 16 July) when I wanted to use paypal and noticed I couldn't send any money. I live in Singapore, and we have something called Singpass that all Singaporean Citizen can sign up for, and it will have all our government information in it. They asked for me to link my Singpass, which I did, and I had to authenticate the login via my Singpass app. Now my account suddenly got permanently limited? Just incase anyone thinks I did not create the account with my name etc, I did.

You can rarely appeal a permanent limitation but if you want to try then...........

Contact options for each countries Paypal customer services are accessed by clicking help/contact bottom left of Paypal pages.

1. Paypal phones (you can use the guest option if you can't log in).
2. Live chat is also randomly available.
3. You can send them a message, (during business hours you may also be able to message whilst logged out).
4. Have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a personal message from their Facebook or Twitter pages.
It's: https://www.facebook.com/PayPal and @AskPayPal for Twitter.

Kudos / Solution appreciated.

Hi, I would like to urge people STOP using PayPal. This platform isn't safe at all.

PayPal is vulnerable and easily been hijacked, I encountered twice...

First encounter, the hacker hijacked my PayPal account and send money to themselves.

Recent event, fraudulent charges made to all my credit cards linked to PayPal while those cards doesn't link to PayPal were not affected. Apparently our information being leaked for sure, but PayPal denied.

Now PayPal wanted to link to my SingPass, definitely NO!

Hello @Kusadoroba

Thanks for visiting the PayPal Community!

I'm sorry to hear about the unauthorized activity that has taken place on your PayPal account. If you haven't already, please file an unauthorized dispute following these steps. After that, you'll want to reset your password and security questions using these tips to create a strong password. I also recommend setting up 2-Step Verification to add another layer of Security to your PayPal account.

In the event that someone is able to log into your PayPal account, they will never be able to see your full personal information. PayPal has protocols in place to protect your financial details as well as any other personal information that has been provided. This is to protect your identity as well as ensure that your information cannot be used elsewhere.

I hope this information helps and that you receive a refund soon!
