paypal holding my funds for 180 days !!!!

absolultey destroyed by paypal !!!

i bought a bulk load of digital software from an outside source , i listed them on ebay , sold about 40 % of them ,

buyers all paid by paypal , i literally sent the games after 5 mins of received payment ......

i went to withdraw the funds ( from my verified paypal account to my linked bank account !!!

withdrawer was reversed and a hold put on my paypal account ........i then phoned paypal and they said it was held just a precaution and i had done nothing wron and to continue to trade on ebay .........( funds would be released in 48 hours !!!!

then a couple of hours my paypal account was frozen for 180 days !!!!

i have over £350 in cleared funds , have sent out £350 worth of software and will not get my money for 180 days !!!!!

this is disgusting as i have done nothing wrong at all , no bad feedback and all buyers have got their purchases .......

you phone paypal they say one thing and the do another ........( even told me to keep seling while account was blobked ......)

what on earth am i supposed to do now ? this seems like fraud to me and im going to have to get a solicitor or even get police involved , no reason has been given for closing my paypal account and keeping my funds , i now have lots of stock sold and lots of stock with no way of selling them , all in all i have lost about £1000 because of paypal .....

I have over $800 on there thst my mother sent me, I dont understand why it has to be held for 180days,or why 2hrs later my account was permanently closed.. I am desperate here PayPal has threatened to close my account and hold my funds for 180 days and they won't give me a reason why. I had my tax return deposited to PayPal and they locked up my account due to suspicious activity. I get the run around with every single customer service manager or person emailed. I have been doing this for over a week and my water has been shut off my car that need to be paid for to get out of the shop is being delayed and now I can't even work because I don't have a car. They keep telling me that is some suspicious activity on my account but I have never bought anything besides a couple things from Amazon a couple gas station receipts and a money withdrawal. PayPal is ruining my life at the moment and will not help me and I have done nothing wrong I don't understand why you all are doing this to me. This is the worst possible experience I have ever had with a business and again I have done nothing wrong you all are fraudulently holding my money and will not give me a reason why saying that I can dispute this in a hundred and eighty days. I don't have six months to wait for this money it's going to be around $2,500 I can't do this. My stimulus money is getting ready to hit for $1,400 so you are going to hold that to?? Someone please help me they can't and won't. The last person I talked to told me they would not transfer me to a supervisor because they could take my money for any reason at any time and hold it for a hundred and eighty days and they didn't have to tell me why. I recorded phone calls of this and I guess I'm going to have to contact a lawyer. I don't have the time to wait for legal actions I need my money now you guys are ruining my life seriously and you won't even help me. I have only use this car for a month and there's only been three deposits and about maybe two dozen transactions from gas stations in Amazon over the past two months. They keep telling me something about chargebacks was the last email I got but this is a prepaid card and I am just a normal person getting direct deposited onto a prepaid card. It's just another phony excuse and I can't do this anymore. The guy was laughing at me because I was telling him that you are ruining my life and you all are we missing with my livelihood . Please help me someone!

This is Ludicrous, Paypal need to be hauled infrount of a class action and made to pay. They have frozen over 21k of my $$ for 180 days. A current affair should take this up to let people know this company is nothing but a bully and a Thief. Not allowing anyone to defend themselves or give any explination for their actions. 

Im sure if people are aware of their criminal like activities they will avoid this pathetic excus for a company. !!! I will be telling to story to a Current Affair lets hope they take it up.

PayPal decided to hold my $19,000, because they don’t agree with my buss practices. Here are my practices: I don’t have any. I don’t use my account for business. I deposit cash at Walmart and buy crypto with it. That’s it. So if they don’t want me depositing Cash... they should stop taking my cash. If they don’t want me to buy Crypto... they should sell any ^#^^%# Crypto. These people are thieves!!!... and I think holding my money just like this.... it has to be ilegal. It’s beyond BS! Plain Ilegal.

I don't use pay pal to buy and sell. During covid quarantine I was given an inheritance and it was in VA so it was deposited into pay pal. I only use the account to send money to me or my wife's two sons or withdrawl to my bank . I recently started a small company to redo houses and withdrew money from paybpal to my card for supplies . Now one day I get permanent limitation and that they are holding my money for 180 days. So now I have no means to continue working and making money or any money period considering all my money was in pay pal. I message and get the same generic response about how to fix limitation when I'm permanently limited. I call and they say I broke the user agreement but thats all I'm told. They say they are holding for 180 in case any chargebacks.But I don't and wouldn't have any. This is my money and has been in this account for a year now with no issues. I contacted BBB but haven't heard back. Wtf? During covid....and they are doing this b.s. for no reason and. None given. So wrong...I feel ur pain. I'm at a loss for what to do its only been a month and a half . I can't wait all that time for my money.

I had opened up a account so I could receive my unemployment on they limited my account and put my money on hold for 180 days and it’s been way past 180 days

I do believe that Paypal uses your funds to invest and make money off of.  If they hold it for 180 days, they MUST by LAW, pay you interest that you would otherwise collect in a normal savings account, by LAW!

Paypal and all it stands for is a form of predator lending and predator entrapment. They are not allowed to hold funds for 180 days under any law.  They have been litigated several times for this and will continue to be litigated until they fix this issue.  

Their actual customer service, if you can get one of the phone, is negligent at best, and is out of country, mostly Philippines.

Unfortunately there is no way to stop them from doing this. You just have to wait out the 180 days. Be warned though if your balance is lower than the Felony Theft limit (usually $1500-2000) in your state, then you will never see your money again. PayPal’s terms and conditions (that you accepted when you created your PayPal account) say that you waive your right to sue PayPal for violating your rights, and you give PayPal the right to take your money for violating their “acceptable use policy” and the acceptable use policy says PayPal can violate you for ANY reason they want and they reserve the right to keep their reason secret. So basically, when you make a PayPal account you promise them that you will not sue them, and you give PayPal the power to take your money for any reason at all, which is what they are doing to thousands of people by permanently limiting accounts and holding the balance for 180 days, and 9/10 if your balance is less than the felony limit they will email you after 180 days and tell you they are keeping your money to pay for damages caused to PayPal by violating their policy. BUT the good news is that if your balance is OVER the felony theft limit ($1500-$2000) there’s a good chance PayPal will return your money after 180 days and if they don’t you can file a police report for felony theft and that will scare PayPal into releasing your balance because even though you agreed not to sue them the police will have to contact PayPal for a felony level theft investigation, and PayPal will release the funds rather than taking the risk of going to court and being exposed for doing this to thousands of people and stealing millions or dollars. So.. yeah. That’s it lol

Hi ,sorry about that ,but same problem to me I had just lost my job and I needed money to buy food for my kids but PayPal kept unconfirming my security details of my account ,it's now over 3oo days and the,ve been holding my money ,my friend am staving here in Kenya becouse no money ,but merceyless PayPal hold my money ,could you have an idea if I will still get my money kindly help if you know, thanks
