I went to use my CC at website check out, I did not want to use PP this time. My payment defaulted to PP, had someones name and said donate to this person? Thank you for your order! Because paypal is upgrading,we can use Donate payment method only now! I have never had this happen before and not sure if it is a scam? Thank you for any info on this. I did not click donate

It sounds like the sellers website is set up for donations only and this is how you make your payment. If it is not a genuine donation and you are buying something then I would not follow through with the payment. If you pay using the donation option then you would not have buyer protection if something went wrong with the transaction.
