- Last week I placed an order and paid using PayPal, the order never returned to the order page to complete the transaction. The address on the resulting invoice ends in <removed>. Have emailed the seller several times, no response. I am concerned that this is a scam.

I bought cassette adapter (Panasonic AJ-CS455) from web and pay to this email 163.com. After 60 days, I don't see the order and I contacts the seller 3 times but no response. They do provide the China EMS tracking number but it was someone else as receiver in another place. I open the case now; waiting for Paypal resolve.

I'm having a problem with this same thing. But PayPal keeps on tell me that there's nothing they can do about it. Should I go to the USPS for proof? And, how to go about it?

The moral of the story check the email address if it is foreign RUN!!
I too have been scammed by 163.com! I contacted PP 2 days later when I didn't get Tracking. that was about 6 weeks ago. I am still waiting for PP to finish the "review"!! Outrageous!! To have this many PP complaints with NO ACTION on PP's part! Why has Pay Pal not BLOCKED them?!
I ordered a Sewing Machine and they send Tracking for 0.08lbs now we all know that could not be a sewing machine! The Tracking says they left it with "COOL" at the "Front Desk" in "Fort Pierce" with no address or recipient! I live in a condominium there is NO "Front Desk", There is NO "CooL" and I don't live in Fort Pierce!
I also purchased a Thermostat last year which it turned out was also 163.com email, I know I should have know when I bought the sewing machine I just never put it together as being the same as the Thermostat! In that case, they had shipped me paper masks (shipped from CHINA!!) having been still recovering from COVID Chia would be the last place I wanted anything from! So I threw the envelope and contents away immediately really never at the time thinking they were related to the Thermostat! I filed with PP and of course, they denied it. I somehow managed to get someone on the phone and she told me my claim should be "Item not as described". I told her I never got it so I can't say that but she insisted so I did and low and behold months later finally PP issued a refund!
In my mind, I kept telling myself ok, it wasn't as described as they told me the item would be shipped and it WAS NOT! Whatever it takes when you deal with CRIMINALS!
