  • Last week I placed an order and paid using PayPal, the order never returned to the order page to complete the transaction. The address on the resulting invoice ends in <removed>. Have emailed the seller several times, no response.  I am concerned that this is a scam.

Did they refund the international processing fee that appears from your bank in a separate transaction called "international fee processing" I dont understand how PayPal gets a pass on this fraud. I have to be verified to use PayPal but not the seller. And where is the warning "you are about to purchase from unverified, non-us, unreachable seller we've have 303 problems with".

I bought cassette adapter (Panasonic AJ-CS455) from web and pay to this email 163.com. After 60 days, I don't see the order and I contacts the seller 3 times but no response. They do provide the China EMS tracking number but it was someone else as receiver in another place. I open the case now; waiting for Paypal resolve.

I'm having a problem with this same thing.  But PayPal keeps on tell me that there's nothing they can do about it.  Should I go to the USPS for proof?  And, how to go about it?

Sorry this is a little late may not have the original package now with the tracking number on it if you did receive a different item. If you have the email saved from the company you bought your item from screenshot the original purchase with the tracking number then take pictures of the small package you received with the same tracking number. That's what I've done I took numerous pictures of the crap item they sent me and screenshot what I originally bought with my original receipt from the fake company and PayPal had no problem refunding my money. If this doesn't help you hopefully somebody else reads this and it can help them.

The moral of the story check the email address if it is foreign RUN!!

I too have been scammed by 163.com! I contacted PP 2 days later when I didn't get Tracking. that was about 6 weeks ago. I am still waiting for PP to finish the "review"!! Outrageous!! To have this many PP complaints with NO ACTION on PP's part! Why has Pay Pal not BLOCKED them?!

I ordered a Sewing Machine and they send Tracking for 0.08lbs now we all know that could not be a sewing machine! The Tracking says they left it with "COOL"  at the "Front Desk" in "Fort Pierce" with no address or recipient! I live in a condominium there is NO "Front Desk", There is NO "CooL" and I don't live in Fort Pierce!

I also purchased a Thermostat last year which it turned out was also 163.com email, I know I should have know when I bought the sewing machine I just never put it together as being the same as the Thermostat! In that case, they had shipped me paper masks (shipped from CHINA!!) having been still recovering from COVID Chia would be the last place I wanted anything from! So I threw the envelope and contents away immediately really never at the time thinking they were related to the Thermostat! I filed with PP and of course, they denied it. I somehow managed to get someone on the phone and she told me my claim should be "Item not as described". I told her I never got it so I can't say that but she insisted so I did and low and behold months later finally PP issued a refund!

In my mind, I kept telling myself ok, it wasn't as described as they told me the item would be shipped and it WAS NOT! Whatever it takes when you deal with CRIMINALS!
