Wanted to cancel order, seller shipped anyway?

I bought an item online which was stated to be in stock. After no response or delivery 13 days later I ask to cancel. No reply. 15 days later I ask to cancel again. I then raised a case with PayPal 21 days after the initial order and clearly asked the seller to cancel. A week later the seller responds, and says they've just sent the item anyway - completely ignoring my multiple cancel requests.

Do I have any recourse with this? I clearly stated I wanted to cancel. Ideally I want to send the item back for a full refund including my postage. Will PayPal back me in any way?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Paypal only covers you for non receipt of item OR item received but not as described.

Anything else is between you and the seller.

However if you opened a dispute for non receipt of item then the seller would need to provide a tracking number to paypal to prove the item was delivered to you or they would lose the claim.

Also if the item arrives and is mis-described then change the dispute to one of not as described asap before the dispute auto closes with the tracking number provided and then escalate to a claim.

PayPal buyer protection doesn’t cover buyer’s remorse or cancellations, you’ll have to work it out with the seller to return for a refund. However, if the item does not arrive or arrives not as described (ie. not as advertised, missing items, damaged in transit) PayPal covers that.
