Sudden Account Closure

Hello All, 

This morning I received a message that my account will be closed. I have had this account for almost 2 years. I live in Germany with a German bank account, I use PayPal mostly online shopping. I have NO IDEA why they are closing my account. They will not tell me why, they won't ask for any documents, they say the decision is final. 
Has anyone had this happen ? I'm shocked and angry that there is absolutely no explanation.

I also got the same message this morning. Said my account was considered a high risk. They had no problems taking the fees for the transactions though. Also in the email it says "You will be charged a High Volume Dispute fee based on your activity for all existing and future cases you receive". I only had 7 payments to me from a service called Streaamlabs.... Some were held and others not but that made sense cause they amounts were donations. None of it was fraud, and nothing was disputed. They my account is terminated with no warning....

Thank you both for bringing your concerns to the Community Forum, and I am sorry to hear of the limitations that you experienced. 

 

Permanent limitation is not a decision made lightly, and often involves multiple factors, some of which may not be readily apparent to you. That said, there's always the possibility of error. If you believe that there was a mistake, you can contact Customer Service and request a second look at the basis for the limitation decision and review if there is anything that was missed. If there is a mistake found, it can be corrected. If the decision is upheld however, there would be no further avenue for appeal, as a permanent limitation is final.

 

I hope that this can be resolved for you both!

Thank you @PayPal_Olivia for the response. I tried to contact support via messaging and got a strange response (saying the decision is final and no reason will be told why). I had someone call for me, as I do not speak German. The support person had me submit identification documents and said I would hear back in 3-5 days. It has been a week. I will try to call again today. 
It seems quite unbelievable that someone who uses Paypal for only online purchases would have such a closure. I do not conduct business here, it doesn't seem that someone else has used my account, I literally make Zalando purchases. 
I understand that it would be unrealistic to always say why an account is closed, but I just can't imagine what reason would be given to me.
