I can get help from Paypal teamm my case is being closed please advise that to do ?

I am extremely disappointed with the way PayPal handled my case involving reference numbers PP-R-MBM-489656490 & PP-R-WUN-489811790. It has been closed without addressing any of my queries. The closure was done unilaterally, without any attempt to contact me to discuss or gain further understanding of the matter. This limited communication option provided by PayPal shows a lack of concern for the integrity and security of its platform. I fear that such negligence may encourage hackers to continue attacking other users and stealing their money.

 

The incident represents a significant breach of security and diligence on the part of PayPal. My PayPal account was hacked, resulting in the following unauthorized transactions:

 

  1. Five incidents of unauthorised withdrawals amounting to $AUD199.99 each, totalling $999.95, occurred between 10th July 2023 to 14th July 2023 via direct debiting from one of my linked payment profile that was previously set up in PayPal.
  2. During this time, an unknown Citi bank card was added to my PayPal account. I have a screenshot of this card while it was still displayed in my PayPal account. It is deeply concerning how an unauthorized source was able to hack into my account and add an unknown credit card.
  3. On 13th July, after the hacker successfully withdrew/transferred funds from my bank into PayPal, they further withdrew/ transferred $779.96 from my PayPal account using the unknown Citi bank credit card, effectively stealing my money.

Despite our attempts to reach out to PayPal for an investigation, the case was closed unilaterally.

We urgently request the reopening of both cases to investigate the matter thoroughly and restore user confidence in PayPal as a safe payment platform. Additionally, we demand a full refund of the unauthorized withdrawal of $799.96.

We eagerly await your prompt response.

P.S. We noticed a statement in case PP-R-WUN-489811790, mentioning an attempted contact with me, but we contest this claim. There were no voicemails or missed calls on my phone. Please provide details of how your office attempted to contact me.

1. Paypal phones (you can use the guest option if you can't log in).
2. Live chat is also randomly available.
3. You can send them a message, (during business hours you may also be able to message whilst logged out).
4. Have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
