Seller Protection does not protect?

Not too sure if PayPal is being a little disingenuous with regard to "seller protection" in that PayPal suggests that there is cover for merchants if an order is sent to a verified address and all their requirements are complied with. Either there is a system that allows for a claim if one has sent an order that transpires to be fraud ... or there isn't. All my conversations with Paypal have been, at best, elusive of the question - that is, if one thinks one has a claim worthy of consideration, there is no actual mechanism for presenting that claim to PayPal. As far as I can see, there is no seller protection!

Hello @hurrymurray

Welcome to the PayPal Community! I'm sorry to hear there's been some confusion and frustration regarding our Seller Protection. PayPal does offer Seller Protection, but there are certainly situations where we cannot protect our sellers - and buyers - 100%. Here are a few resources you may find useful:

What is the PayPal Seller Protection Policy and what items aren’t covered?

Best wishes on your future sales,
