Seller Ignored Refund Request!

Hey all, Here’s a copy and paste from the eBay community. I’m eager for someone to help me! I purchased an item and paid via PayPal. The seller was unresponsive and did not post the item within the business days of handling (5 days). I deemed the item as ‘Item Not Received’ (34 days past purchase date). I requested for a refund and specifically told the seller that I no longer need the item as it was past the expected delivery date. The seller ended up responding 4 days AFTER the expected delivery date (34 days) and ignored my refund request even though I filed the item as ‘Not Received’ and requested for a refund. The seller has posted the item now and I don’t have any need for it anymore. What are my options? A INR was submitted.

It’s going to be tricky. ‘Don’t need it anymore’ is not considered ‘Significant not as described’ and seller can give tracking number to try to win item not received dispute. Try INR dispute first, if needed switch to SNAD dispute if you received something different in the mail.

PayPal Buyer Protection policy:

Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂

Plan B is a chargeback if PayPal dispute does not work out.

I believe the seller is negligent and slow paced. Why should I suffer at the cost of this? I shouldn’t have to wait 34 days for an item to be posted…

Maybe, but that is between you and the seller as paypal doesn't cover you for 'item posted late'.

As long as you receive the item BEFORE the claim times out then your seller would win any dispute for non receipt of item.
