I literally got scammed through Grailed with PayPal. I was given a shipping label through Grailed by the seller. It never updated and he never shipped. Eventually I reached out and he kept delaying and I knew it was a scam so I decided to file a claim. He decided to give PayPal a different tracking number that had said delivered to an address in my city. So I lost the claim, the other tracking number showed the package weight was 44lb or pounds and the item I purchased was an action figure. Which weighed maybe a pound if that. Did PayPal really let this happen ? What do I do about this I’ve been a user since 2014 and haven’t had anything like this until now. I’m very disappointed PayPal didn’t catch onto that and released the sellers funds so now I’m **bleep** and I’ll be forced to just charge back through my bank and close my PayPal account.

You’ll have to contact customer service to get them to appeal and investigate thoroughly and point them towards the weight discrepancy of the shipment and give them the sale listing showing it’s a action figure and that it does not weight 44lbs. The first ruling is done by software. The system registers a tracking number and rule by default. It would be helpful to get documentation from the carrier too. If PayPal doesn’t budge then, file a complaint at bbb.org under PayPal San Jose, CA. The executive escalations office should be able to overturn the case there.
Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
