Scam https://acsmate.com/ .

The site looks like a legitimate vendor, but the end of the purchase doesn't list the items you buy and the payment is listed as DONATION. Then PayPal declined the claim when it is clearly a scam.

I'm really **bleep** because I thought using PayPal was a security for my transactions and I see it is not.

Donations, crowdfunding are not covered by buyer protection. Scam sellers know this. You’ll have to contact/explain what happened to customer service with the url and report the seller for abuse of PayPal features and get another review of your claim..

Paypal does provide buyer protection as long as you are not sending a 'gift' payment via the friends/family option OR donating funds.

You have a responsibility to do your bit to check websites you purchase from and do you really think you would get a guitar internationally shipped for under $100? That site screams scam. You only have to click on 'contact' to see they only give you a probably fake email address !!

Called PayPal and talked to a very nice lady that addressed my  problem with lots of care and solved it,

I will be extra careful in the future of course considering I've been an idiot to trust that website and the offer.

Thanks all for the comments.

Same thing.  When purchasing Paypal said the funds wouldn't be released to the next day, I opened a case within minutes of placing the order once I realized it was a scam site....Told them it was a scam, don't release the funds....case closed with no explanation and funds released.   @#$% Paypal and their scam of customer support.   What is the point of holding back funds for a day if the customer can't pull it back if there is a problem.  If there is no customer protection to their service, they are a pointless service compared to bank/credit cards.  Never again.
