Received and email from PayPal stating im rewarded $3. but its not there

I got an email from Paypal saying they are giving me $3 , I clicked on the link , it was legit it took me to paypal, now its saying after the alloted time that somethings wrong, anyone know whats up

I do understand your concern with this. I am not aware of any $3 promotions that are currently active. It sounds like the email you received may not have been from PayPal. 

As you clicked on the link in the email, I would suggest you change your PayPal password and secuirty questions right away. Please click here for some tips on how to spot these emails. 

Typically, we would have our promotions on our homepage when you go to login. For example, if you click here you can see the promotion we are currently running.
