How do I get a refund for purchase in may? Proof provided

Please help, good day, please, I was cheated. The gentleman was selling goods on Facebook. The communication took place via Massenger, I sent money of 255 euros and the gentleman disappeared and I can't write to his Facebook account either.Thanks

Welcome to the PayPal Community! I'm sorry to hear a recent transaction hasn't gone quite as you had expected. If you have sent the payments as a Friends & Family transaction, unfortunately you would not be eligible for PayPal's Purchase Protection. If you have paid with a debit / credit card or bank, I would recommend reaching out to them to see what options may be available.
