I have a question about transaction ID ***************** for the amount of $40. A dispute was filed on 4/29/22 case id ****************** and was awarded in my favor for the amount of $30.14 to my debit card but I am wondering why the full amount of $40 wasn't returned to me and when will I receive the missing amount of $9.86? It was a split payment $30.14 paid for a portion of the transaction and the rest came from my PayPal balance. Why wouldn't I get refunded the whole amount when it is the same transaction?
Because I didn't have enough money in my PayPal balance to cover the transaction, they pulled the remaining amount owed from my debit card. My bank filed a dispute and the claim was awarded in my favor, however only the funds that were taken from debit card was refunded but the funds used from my PayPal balance was not refunded even though the dispute was in my favor shouldn't all of the money for the transaction be refunded?
Yes the funds for your balance would have been returned first BUT if you did not notice they were in there and paid for something then your balance ie refund may have been used to pay for it, that is why I said check recent transactions and see if one of them was paid from that balance ie refund funds.
