I got charged twice for an Item.

When I paid for two items I was unaware that my debit card had expired so the money for the items was taken from my PayPal balance. However when I connected my new card to my account the same amount was also taken from my bank account so effectively I was charged twice for the same items. I would like the money taken from my paypal balance to be added back to the balance, is this possible?

I am sorry to know that you've been charged twice on the account. In this case, I would recommend you contact the merchant and request a refund for one of the payments as the payment was debited twice for the same item. If the merchant refuses to refund, then report the transactions right away. If one of the payments shows pending, you can certainly try to cancel it if there is a "Cancel Button" next to the transaction on the activity page. Kindly note that if the amount is reversed or refunded, the credit will be posted on the original payment method only. Here's how refund works, please take a look at this help center article.
