How to get refund as a Paypal Guest

I placed an order with OnBuy as a Paypal Guest. The goods never arrived and I have requested a refund. I was instructed to contact Paypal direct and take out an account. My new account is unable to locate the reference number given to me by OnBuy. How can I proceed to obtain a refund ?

I am sorry to hear you are having an issue with a transaction made via a PayPal guest account. 

In order to check this and ensure a case is opened on PayPal for this, you will need to contact our customer service team directly. 

You will need to also have a PayPal account in order for a case to be opened on a guest account.
