Horrible Customer Service and Unfair Business Practices

It is impossible to receive personal help through this company.

I've done over $150K worth of sales transactions over the last 4 years - with zero chargebacks or customer complaints  -and recently had one woman attempt to scam me by halting her card payment claiming she did not receive the item. Paypal notified me and that same day I sent UPS confirmation of delivery WITH SIGNATURE to PayPal only to be denied THE NEXT DAY.

Under threat of filing a police report against her she sent PayPal an email confirming she had received the item but to no avail. The woman sent me my $624 through Stripe after refusing to do PayPal.

Now PayPal is not letting me withdraw over $2800 from my account, holding anything above that for 21 days, even with UPS tracking numbers for the sales.

Within a few months, I will be doing over $20K a month in transactions a month and according to the PP rep, they will continue to only let me withdraw $2800 a month(!)

This is absolutely ridiculous and there is apparently nothing I can do about it. But there is -

I have established a Stripe account and will cease excepting any payments through PayPal due to their horrible customer service.

The reason I posted this is because of the near-total lack of customer support.

If Paypal wants my $50K a year worth of business back, they can contact ME to inform me they will allow me to withdraw at least a sizeable amount of my funds every month.

Barring that, I will not be back as Stripe works fine.

I agree 100%.  I am closing my PayPal today.  No more!  PayPal is a disgrace!

Stripe is working great for me. I had one minor problem and received an immediate response from somebody apparently in the US (every single PP rep I've spoken to was in India).

PayPal has so many customers that they obviously could care less about supporting them - if I ran my business like that, I wouldn't last long.

I too am getting ready to close my PayPal account. They are about to lose all mu business over $186.00! Their customer service is a complete joke. What they fail to realize is, they need us more than we need them! I plan to look into STRIPE.

Thank you for posting this information.

SAME!!!!! On what planet is it acceptable that PayPal can put my money on hold as they get to determine the hoops I have to jump through as a business to receive money for services already rendered? It's an absolute joke that they would say one of the hoops I have to jump through is to make 9 acceptable transactions to release my funds, why in the hell would I even use this stupid platform to process more issues. It wasn't my choice to use this dumb platform but it was done out of necessity and NEVER AGAIN WILL I USE THIS RIDICULOUS PLATFORM. If I could give 40,000 thumbs down I would and tell people to use another platform to actually receive their money. Absolute joke.

No kidding.  Will never use PayPay for any major transaction again.   Lunch money from co-workers is it.

Sent an engine, $1k transaction.  Had proof of shipment and delivery.  PayPay puts 20 day hold so they can use money. Says "Get Money Sooner" with proof of delivery but that only leads to a scam to use PayPal shipping company in future, nothing to do with showing proof of current delivery with TForce shipping and FedEx with tracking numbers.

Wasn't PayPal how Musk got started?  It still acts like a Musk scam.
