Help with erroneous chargeback!

I sold an item through a facebook group.  The item was shipped and received by the buyer.  A month later, $85 gets withdrawn from my account because of a supposed chargeback that was filed. I reached out to the buyer after once again confirming the item was delivered by the USPS and was told that they never filed a dispute and they do have the item. I submitted the tracking info, a copy of the receipt from the USPS with the number shown and copies of the messages to the buyer.  I can't get anywhere with paypal after 2 months.  Today I contact customer support to be told to email the info in, although it's been uploaded in the resolution center for 2 months.  I also contacted the buyer again, who said they haven't received the funds back and offered to return the item if I can't get anywhere with Paypal.  Is Paypal actually reviewing the info and communicating with the bank on my behalf.  What are the chances I'll see my money again?  Has anyone had something similar happen and what more can I do.  I'm so fed up right now.  I've been with Paypal for years and feel like I'm left hanging.

Hello @rpboots,

Welcome to our community help forum and thanks for posting!

I totally understand your concern about receiving the chargeback. As you submitted the relevant information towards the transaction in the resolution center, it typically takes 30 days for PayPal to dispute the chargeback, and it may take your buyer's bank up to 75 days to resolve a chargeback and come to a final decision. The chargeback process is initiated outside of PayPal, between the card issuer and their cardholder. In a dispute over a chargeback, the decision is ultimately made by the card issuer and we don't decide the outcome. You can learn more information about chargebacks here

I hope this information helps!
