Has Paypal itself been hacked again?

My Citi Mastercard number (my long-time Paypal preferred card) was stolen over the weekend. I closed the card and entered my Chase Visa card on Paypal as the new preferred card. In less than 24 hours, my Visa number was stolen and used for multiple transactions. The only commonality at all is Paypal, and my wallet has RFID protection. Happen to anyone else? Feels like a breach of my account details. I called Paypal; rep was unhelpful. I saw online that Paypal was breached in December. Thanks.

I think they were. I started having issues this week with PayPal and unauthorized transactions. So far the PayPal staff has been unhelpful, stating that it looks "normal" for my account. Since when do I spend hundreds on a mobile game company!?!? Lol I strongly dislike mobile games.
