Hello @Lohdrey,
Welcome to the PayPal Community! This is a great question. In short, no, you should never need to send someone money, especially crypto or bitcoin, to complete a payment through PayPal. Here are a few resources you may find useful when getting started with PayPal:
How do I spot a fake, fraudulent, or phishing PayPal email or website?
What are common scams and how do I spot them?
How do I receive money through PayPal?
Best wishes!
