Fraudulent ShipStation charges

Someone has used by attached debit card to make about 20 ShipStation charges of $4 or less. I have never used ShipStation, nor have I ever set up an account. But PayPal Resolution says they have found no unauthorized charges and will not credit back my bank account. PayPal is awful from navigability to transferring money. I created an account only to collect fantasy football winnings. Has anyone else run into this and found satisfaction?

I have shipped with ship station. Exactly 3 times. Today I was charged for a label, but didn’t buy one. It doesn’t even show in my ship station log. Only on PayPal, and at my bank. Same response from PayPal. No unauthorized activity.

I have never heard of shipstation.com but somehow signed up for an automatic payment agreement with this company (per PayPal).

Saw my debit card @ PayPal account has been charged multiple times a day -- every day.  Tried to make an inquiry to Shipstation but I could not find a way to contact their CS.

PayPal determined that those charges are unauthorized and gave me back the money but I still had no idea how in the world has it happened?!   It is pretty disturbing to find quite a few other PayPal users experienced the same problem with ShipStation.com/PayPal -- it sounds more like  systematically attacking the PayPal account users, rather than a single account hacking.   Then, why would PayPal allow this fraudulent activities to continue as more users are victimized?  PayPal was not as safe as I thought it was...

I received a ShipStation charge of $16.20 on my PayPal account today, labeled as "authorized" but is not linked to any label purchase. I reported it in the resolution center and e-mailed [removed] . Thank you for your posts, now it's clear that this is systemic and not just an isolated case. I will report back on what happens next.

I received a response, within minutes from the PayPal Resolution center claiming that this is not an unauthorized charge and that I should dispute it with the "customer", this is surreal and absurd. This has to be an automated response.

Hello @fabricarecs

Welcome back to the PayPal Community Forum! I can understand how an unrecognized charge from Shipstation can be quite concerning. Thank you for updating us with the result of that recent claim. During an investigation of an unauthorized dispute, PayPal looks for situations when someone steals or fraudulently obtains login information for your PayPal account, accesses your PayPal account, and then takes some kind of action like sending a payment.

However, in situations where you grant previous authority to someone to use your PayPal account by giving them your login information, like in the case of a billing agreement, you would normally be responsible for those charges unless you have previously notified PayPal that you no longer authorize transfers by that individual / entity.

However, I would recommend reaching out to Shipstation to see how that unauthorized activity may have occurred from their end. They may be able to offer some insight or options that we are unable to.

Good luck with this and future transactions. My apologies for any inconvenience this has caused,
