Can not close my account

My email was registered for this paypal account by someone

All other account information is not mine

I can reset password

But I can't identify my identity, rename, change email, or close account

What can I do to make my email free?

Thank you for your post and welcome to the Community Forum! I'm sorry to hear that the account was made without your authorization. It's good that you're able to access it! That will give you an option for resolution.

Since you are able to access it, you should have the option to close the account. If the option is not showing or you are unable to complete the process for any reason, please contact Customer Service and explain that there was unauthorized use of your email address to create the account and you would like to close it to free up your email. You can find contact options by clicking Contact at the bottom of the PayPal website.
