Alaskan King Crab Scam

I responded to an advertisement that appeared in my Facebook thread for fresh Alaskan King Crabs shipped right to your door at phenomentally low prices.

The link went to the website [Removed]   Only option for payment was Paypal.  It appears I got scammed out of $45.  The phone numbers on the order confirmation are not working.  There is no response to the email I sent to the company.  It appears they are in China.  Has anybody else been bitten by this scam??

I saw the ad on FB yesterday from "CosctoWholesale.com" & it went to a page that looks like a Costco page. I checked Costco.com & saw nothing similar & decided it was probably a scam. Today it is back on my FB from "Harrimis" and offers 24 hr chat! So FB is not only allowing it, but sharing my info that I looked at it to perpetuate the scam.

There is always one way to get results, make a video and expose paypal for numerous complaints and they do not shut down the account for that site holder. i video everything when i get it in the mail, the world has gone to scamming

I saw the ad on facebook which shows they do not care about people getting scams, just the money they collect for the sponsored ad. i made my own video exposing this website for crab legs, 3.45 a lb if you buy 3 or 4.35/lb for one box purchased, impossible - [removed]

Well as of june 14 2022 the Alaska king crab legs scam is still showing up on Facebook. Ito thought I was good at spotting scams.

but the wonderful video of giant crab legs got me. Waited 10 days then got suspicious. They used a name of a legitimate sea food co.

but when i started calling and emailing I got no responses.  contacted PP and they refunded me immediately, so that was good.

I was also suckered by this Scam.  I contacted PayPal after doing some further research into the business.  Their website uses logs from Alaskan King Crab which is a bona fide business.  PayPal resolved my dispute in favor of the seller because he submitted shipping information, which under further review shows that my order was shipped to some non-existent storage locker.  I've been on the phone with PayPal for the last 30 min and believe I've been cast into the great waiting abyss.  This is the end of my PayPal business if they cannot conclude that this is a scam.

They won't let me post a phone number in this forum.  I found it by getting into a chat and looking for a customer service number.

was not only scammed but I did a dispute which was reversed because some how they had something delivered to my small town which never came to me .. it may have even been a post card as far as I know.. this is bad I am loosing a whole lot of faith in paypal and closing their access to my cc tomorrow . I knew this would be an issue when they stopped phone support.. I may be out 54 dollars if so I will never use paypal ever again and I have been a client for many years even ran a business through it .. but these foreign scams are really getting smart
