Error with Subscription in sandbox Error: TOKEN_FAILURE

Suddenly today Paypal subscription in sandbox returned javascript exception:

Error: TOKEN_FAILURE
at https://www.sandbox.paypal.com/smart/buttons?style.label=paypal&style.layout=horizontal&style.color=...


One-time payment is working fine.

This surely to be a server-side issue. This error code happens even if I do not use any bsmart buttons or checkout components and just redirect to

rel="approve" 

link of subscription object.
