You had not granted Adyen third-party permissions to allow them to perform API calls on behalf of your account and therefore the error was returned.
I've granted the Adyen sandbox account to perform API calls on behalf of your account, so please re-attempt the same process and you should no longer experience the same error message.
Thanks !

Hi Justin,
looks like you've solved it! Can now put orders in with my Paypal Sandbox account in the staging environment of our website!
Many thanks for your assistance.
Have a great weekend.

I've checked your production account and the Adyen setup looks good there, you should not experience the same issue with your production account.
Thanks !
