How to match my bank statement transaction with PayPal reports?

When I download my bank transactions, PayPal entries look like this:

    PAYMENT TO PAYPAL AUSTRALIA 100...043

Where that number is 13 characters long.

However when I download my PayPal statements from PayPal, that number doesn't appear anywhere.

How can I accurately match transactions listed in my bank statements with transactions listed in PayPal statements?

Other than matching by transaction amount and the date range (which can be a day before or after) there doesn't seem to be anyway to do this.

Hi @Huzzahaha,

Thank you for your post. There isn't a unique identifier for the bank transactions to match up to the PayPal transfers. The amounts and approximate dates would be the only way to match things up.
