FIXING ACCESS TO YOUR 2021 TAX DOCUMENTS

I have had a lot of issues accessing my 2021 1099K on Paypal and after communicating with them for a day earlier in the week the issue is still happening. What they aren't communicating to people is THERE IS AN ERROR DISPLAYING 2020 TAX FORMS WHEN TRYING TO GET 2021 forms. 
HOWEVER, I am here to offer a potential fix for those of you still encountering this issue. 

1. The link on your activity page may be pointing to the OLD PAGE. If you are being shown the following link after going to Activity > Tax Documents, it's the WRONG ONE and will only show up to 2020. (WRONG LINK ON PAGE: https://business.paypal.com/merchantdata/reportHome?reportType=TAXDOCUMENT). You'll know it's wrong because the text saying Tax Documents is orange.

2. The CORRECT LINK the page should point to is : https://www.paypal.com/reports/tax_documents 
The text on the top saying Tax Documents should be black, and your 2021 form should be there in the larger format drop down menu. 

NOTE: This link has worked in some cases but in others has returned a NULL ERROR and 2020 is shown twice in the list. 
EDITED TO ADD: If the drop down menu lists 2020 TWICE, selecting the top 2020 option anyway will let you download the 2021 1099-K form...

In short, PayPal needs to sort out this mess with their coding and webpage.

Didn't work for me either.  I just started receiving payments in 2021 so I don't even have the 2020 one that I could click on to see if the 2021 is on that one by mistake.  Very irritated.

Some states may have their own 1099K reporting requirement like mine but for most states the threshold for receiving a 1099K is $20k in goods and services AND 200 transactions. Of course that changed starting in 2022 with the new legislation to $600+.

Sadly, this didn't work for me. Both links take me to the same page, and there is only one 2020 form available, which was last updated in January 2021, so that can't be it. I hope they fix this soon...

Did you try from the home page, scroll down to the notice and click the View All Reports link.

I can see it redirecting to the correct page.

The only explanation other than a glitch that I can think of is that I somehow received 199 payments or something instead of 200. I guess I'll have to count them.

This does not work for me either.  Both links send me to pages that do not have access to the 2021 form.  Also, the specific errors on these pages have changed over time.  I notices a week or 2 ago paypal changed the link to the alternative that OP posted...so they are doing something.  But on that page, I do not get the "2x 2021" form dropdown error...I get a a drop down that shows 2020, and then a blank spot, and then a few other random years with no blanks, like 2017, 2016, 2015, etc.  (Where is 2019???!)

anyway, selecting 2020 selects that and the blank spot together, which sends me to the 2020 form.

I have a ticket w tech support, they are absolutely no help.  This seems like a simple problem...send customers their 1099's from the server!  I have been checking every day for 3 weeks, to no avail

I'm in the very same boat. I'm also checking daily and regularly disappointed. I believe the deadline for delivering these was 1/31, and I have an urgent need for mine. I can't believe PayPal, with all its resources, can't get this right.

Thank you for the suggestion.  Unfortunately, I'm still only showing three years, 2015, 2016, and 2017, in my drop down menu.  All my other years are missing.  

PayPal tech support has been less than useful.  They only apologize and state they hope to have it fixed soon.   Then they tried to say they didn't have my government W9 info.  Really, after 10 years of registered business with PayPal, suddenly you don't have my info.  GRRRRR....

Did not work for me.  The latest form I see is 2019 and when downloaded, it IS my 2019 form.  I've messaged customer service twice had have gotten NO response.  I'm reporting this to the IRS.
