item returned damaged by buyer I have not recieved back and buyer says she has no tracking number

Hi,posted an item abroad buyer says item damaged so I asked her to return to me,I have not recieved it back but she has opened a dispute in paypal and my account is now in a minus situation,i asked the buyer for tracking but she says she did not send it tracked what happens now,am I to lose my item and the £80 she paid or what this seems unfair I have informed buyer as soon as I recieve the item I will refund but she wants refund before I recieve it back Help

In the event of a dispute paypal "normally" expect the buyer to send the item back trackable to prove delivery back to you before they get a refund.

 

HOWEVER as some international tracking does not do signed for delivery they have been known to refund the buyer without confirmation of delivery.

 

HOWEVER again! they do ask for a tracking number so without a tracking number I think paypal may find in your favour.
