You cancelled the payment after paypal had requested the funds from your bank. When that happens the money will be placed in your paypal balance once the payment from your bank completes

Hey there guys,
Just as red-bay says above, the funds will be placed in your PayPal account balance once the funds clear from your bank account.
When funds are being sent from your bank account (as an echeque or not) they take 5-7 working day to reach the PayPal system.
So if the seller has cancelled the payment or you have been able to cancel the payment, it will take 5-7 working days, from the date you requested the payment to be sent, for the fudns to show in your PayPal account balance.
I hope this helps.

So it will take 5-7 working days for the cancelled payment to be in my PayPal account? Can the cancelled payment be transfered back to my bank account after that then?

Hi guys,
Firstly, regardless of what the original transaction details page may say, if a payment has been sent using a confirmed bank account and the payment is cancelled by your seller, the funds may still be debited from your bank account. If this does happen, the funds will be credited to your PayPal balance when they complete processing from your bank account between 5 and 7 working days afterwards.
If you can see the funds in your PayPal account, you can withdraw the funds to your bank account by clicking the Withdraw icon on your Account Overview page. By doing this, you can then send the funds directly back to your bank account.
Another thing that I will advise is that when an eCheck payment has been sent from your PayPal account, it is only your seller who can cancel the payment. If they cancel or refund the payment, this will show as cancelled on your account but keep in mind that there may still be an attempt to debit the funds funds from your bank account.
I hope this information helps.
David.

Hi
How can it only be sellers that can cancel payments? I was the buyer and managed to cancel. Maybe because the it said payment was unclaimed? I tried it twice but still unclaimed so cancelled again, now am £110 out of pocket an have to wait 5-7 days????
Thanks
Michelle
