Refund held on hold for more than 6 days

I was refunded a payment on the 17th of Novemember and had a hold put instantly on it. From what i understand this is commen if a refund is given pretty quickly on an item. However, the funds HAVE been removed from my bank account and have been for about 4 days now, yet the hold is still on my refund.  Any advice would be much appricated.

P.s This is what it says..

It sounds to me like we are just waiting for the funds from the orginal transaction to reach us from your bank.

Once we receive them, the funds will be added to your PayPal balance

I'm in a similar position and am considering my future use of paypal after the utter nonsense spewed out when you ring to try and get a temp hold lifted. PayPal are earning a fortune on all these held transactions - despite the CRs trying to defend such shady practices. Most standard bank accounts can send thousands anywhere in 15 minutes as standard. PayPal claim it takes upto 21 days. Thanks to paypal I might just have an issue with my mortgage being paid due to a hold that they have on MY MONEY.

I'm sorry to hear you had bad experience.

I would like to explain that 21 days’ timeframe for new sellers is not related to payment processing time but to New Sellers Program which is in place to help sellers build good reputation and encourage foreign buyers to do business internationally.

You can have your payments released earlier than 21 days. To do so just ship the item as soon as possible, mark it as shipped and add tracking information under transaction details.

When three days will pass since delivery date, please contact us and we will release funds immediately.
