Part refund made to buyer, now dispute opened!

Ive refunded a buyer for a lost item and now she has opened a dispute against me for the £3 postage costs. im trying to put the transaction details in to the required box on the dispute but it keeps sayng invalid id. is that cos i didnt refund the whole amount? how can i sort this as i dont want the buyer receiving another refund when i have already done it.
any advice please?

Why would you not refund the total payment sent by the buyer? Its not their fault the item failed to arrive.
You should have refunded the total payment. If they have started a dispute then if it has been escalated to a claim they will get the rest of the amount refunded to them.
Advice is voluntary.

Yes must refund the full amount including postage unless you have asked them if they want another item sent.
