hello,
Today I made a payment by mistake. The payment should have been instant but apparently it's in the form of an e-cheque and I want to cancel it right away. Can someone tell me how to do that please?

Hi there Kristian_I,
There is no way for you to cancel an eCheque from your account, Customer Services can't help in this case either I'm afraid as they can't cancel it.
Speaking with the Seller may help as they could issue a refund to you on the eCheque payment. Then you could make the payment a second time, this time it being instant
I hope this information helps you

To clarify only the seller can cancel the payment, they would do this by refunding you via the original transaction, howevwer bear in mind that you will not get the funds back until it would have cleared with the seller. And then it will go back to your PayPal account.
Instant payments are made when you have a valid card on file, if no valid card eCheques are sent, in some circumstances PayPal deem the transaction only eligible to be paid by eCheque and you have no choice over this matter, it could be becasue there are a high level of sales going through or there is a problem with the seller.
Just depends.
