On October 27th, I made a purchase on Ebay and payed with PayPal. The item was out of stock.
On November 1st., The company posted a refund on paypal and it shows in the history.
It was on hold, but then showed as refunded to me on November 2nd.
I NEVER RECEIVED A REFUND!!
It is NOW December 5th.
It is PAST the 30 day period Paypal says it sometimes takes for the refund to post to my debit account.
WHERE DID MY MONEY GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On my Paypal account I look at all my transaction's. I go to the one that the purchase was made under and go into details. If they did a transaction refund on the item, then it would show a credit pending. Also, one of my refund's showed up on one of the top 5-10 recent transactions. If it does show pending than it will be 3-4 business day's from the date they posted before it is showing with your unemployment card and another 3-4 business day's for your card to reflect available.
You should also contact Paypal and wait on the line until you get to a live agent. If they can't help you than tell them exactly this. "ok, I understand I just want to let you know my next step is to contact my credit card holder and file a charge back as it appear's I have been Frauded on Ebay." They will give you song and dance. Politely tell them thanks for answering the line, have a great day.
Sorry, I have never worked with unemployment card. Does it have a Visa/Mastercard logo? If it does call the number on the back of your unemployment card and tell them you need to file a dispute/charge back on an item you bought on Ebay and give them all the facts. You should have the Ebay order number ready to provide to them and the last time you corresponded with the seller and/or Ebay/Paypal.
I hope that help's, let me know if your unemployment card has one of those logo's. Merry Christmas~!

Your refund is in Paypals bank account drawing interest. They will hold it as long as possible using whatever tactical verbeage they can. Both sister companies well thats wha they call themselves but Ebay owns Paypal. On disputes Ebay is much faster and Paypal will drag there butts not the term I wanted to use. If you can find a product cheaper on a real store I would suggest that form with a credit card. Disputes and recovery is immediate.

Hi,
I purchased an item on Ebay using my debit card, but I returned the item and I got an email from Paypal saying that my money was refunded. I didn't have a Paypal account at the time of the purchase and I only created one recently to find out about the refund process. Will my money be sent back to my debit card? Also, how long does the Paypal refund process take if the seller already refunded the money?

From what I understand if you made the purchase through credit card/debit card. The refund goes directly back to that card and can take 7 day's. If you have not received your refund after 10 day's contact your bank and file charge back you will get a provisional credit from your bank and they will send you paperwork to provide the fact's. They then send that to Paypal and Paypal has to respond.
Guaranteed not to lose your money. Good Luck.

Hi wailaki10, welcome to the forums!
I can help you iron out the confusion. Kevin replied to kawikapoi back on December 8, as kawikapoi was the original poster in this thread. It looks like your message that I'm replying to is the first message you've ever posted on these forums.
If you're looking for a refund on your account, there are a few things you can do to locate it. Scroll to my previous post on this thread, dated January 28. Try those steps to see if you can find your refund. Let us know how it turns out! 🙂

Hello,
I also have a similar problem.. I bought two items from a seller on ebay and it has been two months since the purchase. The seller is no longer a seller on ebay and the items were somehow erased from my summary. I tried contacting the seller yet recieved no reply, and opened a case here on paypal, but apparently it was closed. Is there anyway I can get my money back?

Hi aleee_12, welcome to the community forums!
If the transaction has rolled off your eBay summary, I'm guessing that you won't be able to file a claim there. You can still file a dispute at PayPal.
If it's been 2 months, you're outside of the 45 day window for Purchase Protection. You can still file a dispute, but once it's escalated to a claim it will close out. Still, filing the claim will serve two purposes. One, if the seller needs to be prodded in the right direction, a dispute might do that. Two, filing a dispute puts it on record that there was a bad experience. We're far more likely to spot a trend of bad selling practices if disputes are filed than if they are not.
I hope this works out for you!
Olivia
