Not getting some payment notification emails

I get PayPal payments about 5-10 times a week, but there have several payments in the last few weeks for which I did not receive any email notification.  Usually I use that email to let me know that I need to ship orders, so some things were shipped late because I did not realize that they had paid until a couple of days had passed.  If checked my deleted mail, junk mail, spam-filtered mail, etc., and they're not in any of those places either.  Is anyone else having this problem?  Any advice?

I am sure it was resolved in April, and in Feb, and the two or 3 other times it happened last yr if not it would happen randomly to everyone all the time. However the events are isolated you can almost tell the date and time in which it breaks at Pay Pal because everyone starts posting on here, and because that is when emails stop coming in. Which leads me to believe it is a human caused error.

@mabloodhound  I got censored too and no profanity here either!!

They will get it fixed may take a week or two though which makes it difficult for us on a holiday weekend.

This issue should not occur. There should be redundancy. They could learn a thing or two from google.

[sigh] All was going well for so long too... had bee nreceiving prompt notification emails for the past couple months. As of today, none! Still waiting for emails from purchases over 8 hours ago. A customer received her purchase confirmation email immediately, so go figure.

This is getting to be a real pain now, I have at least seven sales today for which I have never received a PayPal email. Come on, sort it out!

For what it's worth.. seems like every time PayPal has sent us notice that they will be 'down' for repairs, etc., this occurs!  They were down in the wee hours of Sunday, and since then we've been affected.  That should give them a tip on what's been done lately and 'unfix' it.

A little tip, I've been keeping a list of my PayPal balance and when I log into my account if the amount has gone up, then I check transactions to see what is new and then each items 'details'.  If it's still the same I know there's nothing that's been added.

Paypal could post an update on the account user interface when this happens. It might help to avoid the time wasted in checking for erroneous causes.

I'm not getting any notifications too. But it's happened before.

I encountered this exact thing happening last November.  I called PayPal and tried to find out what the issue was.  I was informed that some changes were made to their system last month that has created some glitches and that there are aware of the problem.  They will add my email address to their "ticket" as a request to follow-up.  Shortly after that, I was receiving emails and olthers were complaining on this board that they were not receiving emails.

I suggest that all you you call PayPal and have your email added to their "ticket" to get this fixed.

Over the past 8 months we have been experiencing these issues on and off with varying delays of 10 minutes to never receiving the notifications. Most occur during the morning hours of 12am to 8am and paypal still likes to state that the delays are due to "network congestion", ISP related or email host related issues. They still maintain this facade even though we have 4 ISPs and 13 different email providers (which we have tested with the notification system on several accounts). The last 3 days have been the worst as the delay had gone from 10 minutes to 12 hours at this point. Calling paypal 3 times has had no effect.

We have already started to migrate our payment systems over to other providers and are glad to state that we have had no problems as of yet. We are required to fulfil orders within 20 minutes of payment and without proper notification we cannot do so. This has lead to a great many refunds from us. If paypal cannot provide proper service with the $0.30+% per transaction then they do not deserve our business. paypal is now losing $200 in fees per day from us.
