Not getting some payment notification emails

I get PayPal payments about 5-10 times a week, but there have several payments in the last few weeks for which I did not receive any email notification. Usually I use that email to let me know that I need to ship orders, so some things were shipped late because I did not realize that they had paid until a couple of days had passed. If checked my deleted mail, junk mail, spam-filtered mail, etc., and they're not in any of those places either. Is anyone else having this problem? Any advice?

Looks like PayPal has some major problems again. I use the buttons only, and had a purchase three hours ago with no notificaiton yet.
Buttons had been pretty reliable but this is not good. I rely on PayPal to let me know when a purchase has been made.
I noticed they did deduct their fee from the payment though. Seems that if they're getting paid they should do something to earn it and get this right.

Same thing here. I just happened to look up another transaction yesterday, and noticed there was another payment there that I hadn't gotten an email for. So I printed out the history page of the transaction so I could send a notice of confirmation etc., (which was a pain to do that way), and then about an hour later I finally did get that email notice.
So... we're not out of the woods yet.

I only got about 2 out of 20 payment notifications today! This is really frustrating.

Same problem with our business. We came to know that our clients are paying and they are not getting their e-learning product for hours because we were notified by PayPal for hours. It is fustrating and for last 2 days we have been constantly checking PayPal account periodically for payments to make sure that clients do not have to wait for hours to receive the product they purchased.
PayPal get your act together and fix this problem immediately.

I suggest that EACH AND EVERY ONE of us that has this issue to call paypal directly. If we get enough people calling then maybe the cost of fixing the problem would be less than the cost of taking our calls for this issue.
Lost half of the notifications today and most others are delayed for 5 hours or more.

Historically I've learned to not trust the email notifications entirely (about 1 out of 30 or so is never sent) but it hasn't been too bad for me up until the last few days. For the last few days, notifications have been taking 5+ hours to be sent out. Example: yesterday a customer placed an order at 4:29pm PDT and the email was not sent until 9:34pm PDT. I confirmed the problem is on PayPal's side because their outgoing server time stamped it 5 hours and 5 minutes after the order. This is really hampering my ability to get orders to my customers quickly.
I filed/emailed a report to PayPal this morning.

Wow.. it's taken me all morning to be able to just log in here so I could reply! Kept sayin 'not authorized' after I put in my email address and password after clicking on the forum email they sent me. Wouldn't even let me 'view'. Now it finally worked.
Just a reminder to all.. there was a notice that PayPal was going to be doing some work on their web site early AM Sunday, and as usual, perhaps what they 'fixed' affected some other things. Not excusing them, but just some food for thought on this happening?
As I said before, I'm checking my PayPal account several times a day in case I missed getting my email notifications from them. Better safe than sorry!

Hi copMom I have noticed that when you and some of the other regulars on here have this problem I have the same problem as well. Which leads me to believe that possibly they have different servers with users info on it, and we are on the same server because Pay Pal has millions of members and surely this can't be affecting everyone.
Anyways the problem has started back AGAIN here too. I whole heartedly believe that Pay Pal has a technician that works there that unintentionally keeps **bleep**ing this up. Someone else will come along and fix it again I am sure and it will work fine for a few months as usual until whoever it is that **bleep**s it up gets back on there and breaks it again.
Note to Pay Pal: Figure out which employees we're doing the maintenance on Sunday and have them figure out what they did and fix it. Then cross reference the employees that we're working on it Sunday with the employees that we're working on it all of the other times this has happened in the last yr. This should lead you to the employee that has no business working there.

Love your note to Paypal jg. Hope they read it.
Kinda wondering whether we all have the same ISP though. I'm AOL. How about the rest of you ?
