12/12/2011 Known issue with Invoicing Tool

Hi everyone,

 

I just wanted to acknowledge that we are experiencing issues with the Invoicing Tool right now.  If you try to send an invoice you may receive an error message.  Our engineers are working to resolve this issue as soon as possible.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

 

The normal "Request Money" option is still working which may be helpful as a temporary workaround.

 

 

I'll post an update here when the issue has been resolved.  If you have found a different workaround, please post it here so others may benefit. 🙂

I have been having the same issue for days.

 

I cannot access the invoice tool and I cannot access old invoices that I have already made.  Not being able to access old invoices is the worst because I cant tell people what they ordered, how much shipping they paid etc,.

I use invoices several times a week. I can now send one invoice but if I try to send a second, It does not send. I see it in my transactions as DRAFT. I cannot send it.

 

I can request payment without invoice but I depend on invoices. My accounting is getting scrambled because I have invoices and regular requests and it's hard to track.

My invoice tool was down, as was everyone else's since Monday.  However, yesterday, it started working again and haven't had any trouble with it.....Until tonight.  It's telling me the same thing again about waiting 30 min and trying again, unable to process at this time, etc.

 

I hope this will be fixed soon!  It's really wreaking havoc on trying to invoice customers and getting my money to ship their for their parites in time!

I'm having the same experience again tonight. Creating chaos here too. So what we're doing now is using the Request Money function which appears to be working as the admin wrote earlier,  and then detailing our charges breakdown in the Comment Box. And of course apologizing to our clients. We haven't seen it actually work yet, but should know soon. Also, some of our clients are telling us that they did not receive the invoices that we sent earlier today. So you'd better check on those if you sent any and re-do them through the Request tool if necessary. This is crazy eh?

Glad to see that this is a 'known issue' but it is driving me crazy as invoices make it easier for my clients (many of whom don't speak English as a first language) to pay our fees. Please fix it as quickly as possible!

There are still intermittent problems. About 15 minutes ago I could not open Manage Invoices ( got error message ) and then a few minutes ago, it did let me open the file and I tried to cancel an invoice, but then I got error message stating that the invoice could not be found. These are part of the same problems occurring the past couple of weeks. So please keep working on it! Thanks

Hi CCNinc,

 

Thanks for letting us know.  Are you receiving the same error message as before or is this a new error?  Are you able to send an invoice now or is it just giving errors when you try to select an action for an existing invoice?

We've been having trouble for a couple weeks. Can create an invoice, then when you click send you get an error message and the invoice is saved as a draft. It appeared better for a couple days, yet we've had the same problem with 4 invoices today. Help!

Just chiming in that I have been having and still am experiencing issues with anything related to the invoicing tools for my small business.  If I click "Create Invoice" or "Manage Invoice" I get this "Sorry -- your last action could not be completed" message.  It is preventing me from getting payments on invoices that managed to get sent out despite the error as well as sending out new invoices.  Request Money does seem to work most of the time though.
