Paypal credit balance exceeding what's shown in statement/ statement not transparent

Feeling rather confused. Paypal credit balance is higher than the sum of promotional offers (pay by, 4months). Promotional offers are all that are shown in my most recent statement. My most recent statement doesn't show any payments pending that are outside of my promotional offers and I was also charged interest despite clearing the balance on time last month. Surely the statements should be transparent? Ive tried looking back through old statements as I am sure I have accounted for promotional and non promotional offers/ purchases every time. With payments, refunds and purchases it is difficult to establish what if anything falls outside of the promotional offers.
