For about a month now, every time I log into PayPal I'm presented with a page asking me to scan a QR code and use the mobile app. I'm on a desktop using a web browser, so obviously I don't want to do this. My question is how can I disable this page so I can continue with using the PayPal product and save time in my life?

Hello @StarfishPrime,
Thank you for joining PayPal Community Help!
I see you're looking to disable to screen to scan QR code to access your PayPal account. The scanning of the QR code is a quick way to launch the latest version of the PayPal app so you can start the log in process with biometrics, which then logs them in via desktop.
If you currently have the latest version of the PayPal app installed, as well as biometrics enabled (Face ID, Touch ID, Fingerprints), you may be able to log in on a desktop using a QR code. You can lean more about accessing PayPal account using QR code here. If you're not currently logged into the PayPal app or if you don't have biometrics enabled, you may be required to enter your password.
Hope this information helps,
Bindu

Why is it that people can't simply answer the question.
I'm guessing because it is BAD NEWS. No we cannot disable this obnoxious adware screen. Part of the cost of using Paypal

We simply want to disable the damn popup that asks us to login on the app every time we're using the browser to login. It's really obnoxious- give us a way to disable it ourselves if you won't just disable it for everybody already. If people want to use the app, they'll do so on their own and don't need a reminder when they're logging in through their desktop PC browser. In fact, this popup actively makes me NOT want to use the app and honestly feels like I'm being pushed to just drop PayPal once and for all...

I feel the same way, in that it makes me want to not use the mobile app. I mean, you can’t make a desktop experience enjoyable, what makes me believe the mobile app won’t be obnoxious……

I am literally no longer using PayPal Credit simply because I am so freaking tired of that stupid "Download the app" page.
I have 8 credit cards all with similar rewards to chose from. This one page alone is more than enough for me to never use this credit card ever again lol. That's how annoying it is.

wow, it appears paypal hires the same useless people microsoft has,
the user is asking how to GET RID OF THE POPUP, not what is the app for, we want the nagging GONE, period. i WILL NOT use apps when the browser works fine, and if the browser i limited for the desire to force an app, i will end my contract with pypal, that easy.
provide a way for those popup to go ....FlyTheFilthOff...
admins, mods, M$employees, if you cant be bothered to read the post, DONT RESPOND!
after being burned enough times by info stealing apps on every web site visited, this is beyond ludicrous. wonder if we can convince EU to add these popups to the "dont do it" list of things they are cracking down on.
HOW DO WE DISABLE THE POPUP TO GET THE APP at every login.
PERIOD, THATS THE ONLY QUESTION POSED HERE.

I'm not installing your app.
As I stated above, I'm on the desktop using a web browser, and after I log in, I'm constantly brought to a screen asking me to scan the QR code and using a mobile app. I'm not going to install the app! My question is about disabling the screen asking me to download the app. See screenshot below, I constantly have to click 'Continue on the web', which is annoying.

OMG YES THANK YOU! I swear to God I have logged into my paypal less often thanks to this annoying splash page. It has been **bleep** me off for so long that I am literally prioritizing paying my paypal account to zero first now (almost done) and never using it again.
I will still use paypal to pay on sites but through the merchants site and will use a different credit card, not PayPal credit. ALL just because I am so **bleep**ing tired of that dumb **bleep** screen lol. Sounds extreme, but I have 8 credit lines to chose from with similar rewards. That splash screen about the app download is enough to make me not use this card ever again.
WE DON'T WANT THE APP! If we wanted it we would have downloaded it!
Ok that's all my rant lol. 1st world problems for sure haha.
