reverse balance payment and use credit instead?

I set up a charge for a rental car to my paypal credit,and thought I double checked the method of payment, but my paypal balance was charged instead. Is there anyway paypal can reverse this? Thanks!

Hi @JamesinAZ,

Welcome to the community and than you for your post. 

When you make a transaction using PayPal, your PayPal balance will always be charged first unless you specifically choose another payment method. 

Once a transaction is completed, the payment method cannot be changed. In order to change your transaction to PayPal Credit, you would need to contact the merchant and request them to refund the payment. You could then make the payment again choosing PayPal Credit.
