Does Pay in 4 on Amazon account for pre order items that aren't charged right away?

I pre ordered an item on Amazon using PayPal Pay in 4 since Honey recommended it. The main concern I have is that Amazon normally doesn't take PayPal and I was given a "debit card" that expires if not used within 24 hours. Amazon does not charge until the item is shipping and, under normal circumstances Pay in 4 accounts for this but since there is another factor here I don't know if the method will actually go through or if it will think that it was never charged and thus disappear before my item can ship.

I would gather that, if checkout is completed with virtual card within 24 hrs of issuance, an authorization would then being initiated on the card thus how the 24 hr requirement is met.
Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
