problem accepting payment

I linked a new card to my paypal and went to accept my money and for some reason it just says there was a problem accepting it. i tried both on app and on website and it gives the same message. any reason why?

I am confused by what you mean "accepting money". What are you accepting and how?

Have you verified your paypal account with a linked and confirmed bank account?

You would need to do this before you can set up a paypal cash account to 'accept' your first payment into your balance as per link.

If you have done all that then are you sure the funds are being sent in a currency you can accept?
