I have a pending amount from an Ebay sale that is being returned because the buyer doesn't want it not because there is anything wrong with it. OK not a problem, but my summary says that my account is in negative for the same amount and to add funds immediately which I have done. Now if the payment is refunded when it is on hold I appear to be out of pocket. Is it me having a blonde moment, I tried ringing customer services but just go round and round talking to a machine.

Hi @QDL62,
I'm sorry for any confusion the refund process has caused.
It sounds like a dispute was filed with eBay. When a dispute/claim is filed, the funds are placed on hold. It can result in a negative balance if the funds are not available. If you've resolved the negative balance, the refund would come from the funds that are on hold.
I hope this information helps!
Thanks,

Ok. The refund has gone through, so the original credit has appeared and subsequent refund taken from that. BUT balance says zero so where is the money that I had to put in after original payment was on hold...... I am out of pocket for exactly the amount that was credited and refunded.... something not right and still cant get past the telephone system.
